Peruvian politician who became the first woman President of Peru in December 2022. She had served as the first vice president and minister at the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion under President Pedro Castillo.
She graduated as a lawyer from the University of San Martín de Porres.
She is president of the Apurímac Club in Lima and has worked at the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status as an attorney and officer since 2007.
She is the youngest of 14 children. She was married to David Gómez Villasante and later divorced him. They have two sons, David Eduardo Gómez Boluarte and Daniel Felwig Gómez Boluarte.
