The band formed in 1967 and Clayton-Thomas was the front man and guitarist from 1968 to 1972, 1974 to 1981, and 1984 to 2004. Blood, Sweat & Tears released their debut studio album Child Is Father to the Man in 1968 and their self-titled album was released in 1968 and reached #1 in the US where it was 4x multi-platinum.
