German actor, sports reporter, and game show host who first found fame through his work on the Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln public radio station. He went on to host the game show WipeOut - Heul nicht, lauf! In 2020, at the age of 82, he participated in Promi Big Brother, Germany's version of Celebrity Big Brother.
He studied history at the University of Münster.
He received the Goldener Löwe award from RTL Television in 1997. He became the oldest winner of a reality show when he won season 8 of Promi Big Brother.
