Richard Thalheimer net worth: Richard Thalheimer is an American entrepreneur, lawyer, author, and investor who has a net worth of $100 million. Richard Jay Thalheimer was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1948. He founded The Sharper Image and was the company's CEO. Thalheimer established the company in 1977 and he launched an ad in Runner's World magazine before distributing The Sharper Image catalog in 1979. In 2006 he left the company and at its peak it had annual revenues of more than $750 million. The Sharper Image became public in 1987. Richard Jay Thalheimer started his own retail online store RichardSolo.com in 2007. He graduated from Yale University and Hastings Law School and practiced law in San Francisco. He started an office supply business called Thalheimer Business Systems which later became The Sharper Image. In 2007 he sold the remainder of his 21% stake in The Sharper Image to a hedge fund for $25 million. In 2008 the company filed for bankruptcy and all of its stores closed all of its stores late that same year.

Real Estate: In 2014 Richard sold his longtime home in San Francisco for $10.1 million. His primary residence is a $20 million mansion in Ross, California which is located just north of San Francisco in Marin County.
