Irish chef, culinary Writer, and TV personality who achieved Celebrity status as a result of her RTÉ cooking shows.
She began her culinary training at the Ballymaloe Cookery School when she was eighteen years old.
She hosted several Irish cooking shows, including Rachel's Favourite Food, Rachel’s Favourite Food for Friends, and Rachel's Favourite Food At Home.
She was born to an Icelandic mother who worked in fashion and to an Irish father who manufactured shoes. She later settled in County Cork, Ireland with her husband, Isaac, and their three children.
She and fellow chef Gino Dacampo both appeared on the BBC cooking show Saturday Kitchen.
