Electrical Engineer who created several key components that made the first televisions possible. His firm, the Farnsworth Television and Radio Corporation, produced his electronic television system commercially from 1938 to 195.
An avid reader of Popular Science magazine in his youth, he managed by his teenage years to wire the family's house for electricity.
He achieved his first television transmission at the age of 21, but the images were too bright and too hot, and he spent the next few years refining his process.
