NHL center that was taken by the Anaheim Ducks with the third overall pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. In 2022, he won a gold medal while playing with Team Canada during the World Junior Championships.
He first discovered his passion for hockey as a young child. He was later given the opportunity to play for the Pembroke Lumber Kings youth team.
He made his official NHL debut playing against the Winnipeg Jets. That same night, he scored his first career goal, becoming the youngest player in Ducks's history to score a goal, at the age of 18 years and 256 days old.
Growing up, he lived with his parents and his older brother. His father, Dale, played hockey professionally for 14 seasons.
