He is the man behind hit local songs, "Hey Der Milwaukee Polka", "The Moo-Moo Song", and "We're All Crazy in Chicago". He remained with WLUP for nearly 15 years until a management change forced him to a different radio station (WCKG )until 2001. Brandmeier took a hiatus from radio until he returned to KCBS and later WLUP in the mid-2000s. Brandmeier was part of a local band, The Leisure Suits, who played around the Windy City. In 2011, he joined WGN Radio. Brandmeier has released five albums between 1982 and 2008, including "Almost Live", "Brandmeier", and "Larger Than Live".
