While she was still studying at medical school, she met her ex-husband Edison de Godoy Bueno, the founder of Amil, a Brazil's healthcare organization. A medical doctor of Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro who also holds a doctorate of the University of Texas at Austin, Dulce helped Edison a lot with the organization that started with a few medical clinics. Since 2007, her ex-husband has purchased about 15 companies until Amil developed into the largest healthcare organization in Latin America. Currently, the company provides dental care, discount pharmacy coverage and health care to more than 5 million patients.
