Brianna and Nicole Garcia were raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, and are of Mexican and Italian descent. They were born in San Diego but were raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. They both played soccer throughout their school years, as well as in college, but modeling, acting, and promotional work eventually took over their professional careers. They appeared on the reality show, "Meet My Folks", and in the World Cup national advertising campaign for Budweiser. From there, they shifted their focus to the World Wrestling Federation.
They were initially cut from the WWE "Diva Search", but subsequently signed development contracts with the WWE, and moved to Florida to train as part of Florida Championship Wrestling in 2007. They have been part of numerous storylines with Raw and Smackdown since 2008, and also appeared independently in 2012 and 2013. They appear on the reality show, "Total Divas", and co-star in the independent film, "Confessions of a Womanizer". Nicole is engaged to fellow professional wrestler John Cena, and in 2014, Brianna married her long-term boyfriend, professional wrestler Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan). The twins have starred on the reality TV series Total Divas since 2013 and Total Bellas since 2016. Brie Bella retired from wrestling in 2016 but remains an ambassador. She was a one time WWE Divas Champion. Nikki Bella is a two time WWE Divas Champion and returned to competition after a neck injury. The Bella Twins have branched out into numerous other business ventures including clothing brand Birdiebee and a wine label called Belle Radici. They also launched their YouTube channel The Bella Twins in 2016. They often wrestled as a tag team and briefly feuded with each other.
