Kosovar-Albanian former kickboxer and Muay Thai fighter who competed across seven weight classes during his career. He has won championships at the national level in Switzerland and multiple International Muay Thai associations.
He began training Muay Thai at the age of 15. He took up the sport after having trouble integrating into Swiss culture during his teens.
During his fighting career he had nicknames like "The Black Eagle" and "The Warrior." He had a total of 100 fights during his kickboxing career. In 2010, a documentary about his life and career called Being Azem was released.
He married his wife in June 2007 and his son was born a few weeks later.
