Will Forte was born Orville Willis Forte IV on June 17, 1970 in Alameda, California. As a kid he idolized comedy legends like Steve Martin, Peter Sellers and David Letterman. He was also a massive fan of Saturday Night Live. He attended UCLA then in the late 1990s took classes with the Groundlings improve group.

He eventually landed a writing job on The Jenny McCarthy Show, which did not last long. He then landed a writing job at Late Show with David Letterman.

In 2002 Will was hired as a cast member on Saturday Night Live. He made audiences helplessly laugh thanks to the spot-on celebrity impersonations and original, off-kilter characters.
