He was also a massive fan of Saturday Night Live. He attended UCLA then in the late 1990s took classes with the Groundlings improve group.
He eventually landed a writing job on The Jenny McCarthy Show, which did not last long. He then landed a writing job at Late Show with David Letterman.
In 2002 Will was hired as a cast member on Saturday Night Live. He made audiences helplessly laugh thanks to the spot-on celebrity impersonations and original, off-kilter characters. He stayed at SNL until 2010. While at SNL, Forte has also produced many memorable sketches and made a successful transition to feature film by writing and starring in comedies The Brothers Solomon (2007) and MacGruber (2010).
Throughout his career, he also found himself writing and producing several television series like Late Show with David Letterman, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Action and That '70s Show. Forte's additional film credits include Baby Mama, The Slammin' Salmon and Beerfest. He also voiced a handful of animated series such as FOX's The Cleveland Show and Sit Down Shut Up, as well as MTV's hit sitcom Clone High. From 2015 to 2018 he starred on the Fox series The Last Man on Earth (he was also the show's creator).
Real Estate: Two weeks before being hired by SNL, Will bought a bungalow in Santa Monica, California for $850,000. The SNL job forced him to up and move to New York, so he barely lived in the house for around a decade. In September 2020 he listed this home for sale for $2.5 million.
In January 2020 Will spent $6.25 million on an oceanfront home in Carmel Highlands, California.
