TV journalist and reporter who has served as the Senior White House Correspondent for CBS News since July 2018. Her question to President Donald Trump about the COVID-19 testing program received global attention and coverage. In 2012 she was inducted into the Newhouse School of Public Communcation's Professional Gallery in recognition for her contributions to the communication field.
She became interested in journalism at age 13 when her teacher helped submit her to a competition run by Channel One. She won an internship as a student anchor and reported in Los Angeles for two weeks. She graduated in 2005 from the College of William & Mary with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and a minor in Chemistry. She graduated from Syracuse University in 2006 with a Masters in broadcast journalism.
She worked in New York City as a reporter and fill-in anchor where she covered major stories such as the Boston Marathon bombings, the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings, and Hurricane Sandy. She also covered the 2016 and 2020 Presidential Elections, the funeral of First Lady Barbara Bush and the congressional baseball shooting. In 2020 she wrote her memoir, Other.
