Best remembered for his long-term performance in the Golden Horseshoe Revue at the Disneyland theme park in Anaheim, California, this entertainer also had small roles in such films as The Love Bug and the Absent-Minded Professor.
At the age of nine, he began dancing professionally and, by nineteen, had become a touring comedy performer.
While performing in London in a show called Starlight Roof, he invited an audience member onto stage. The young girl, a twelve-year-old Julie Andrews, wowed the audience with her singing voice and subsequently joined the cast of the show.
Walt Disney originally intended for Boag to voice Tigger in Winnie the Pooh; however, the role ultimately went to Paul Winchell.
