Violinist who was the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra founder and the 1991 People's Artist of the U.S.S.R.
He received an award for a significant conducting competition in Moscow at the age of thirteen and debuted at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 1979.
He started a charity called the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation to support less fortunate children in their musical studies.
He married Sati Spivakova and has three daughters with her named Tatiana, Katia, and Anna.
Both he and Michel Denisot were inducted into the Légion d'honneur.
