Textile designer and Artist whose company Tibor Ltd. decorated the interiors of the Royal Yacht Britannia and Coventry Cathedral.
He emigrated from Hungary to England in 1937 and studied at Leeds University.
He was honored with the Design Council Award in 1957 and a Textile Institute Medal in 1973.
He was born in Budapest, Hungary, to an affluent Jewish family in the textile Business. He married Pianist Freda Caplan with whom he had four children.
He designed the upholstered interior of the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre in Stratford-Upon-Avon, England. In 1964, he was chosen by the Shakespeare Council to design a unique tapestry to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the birth of william Shakespeare.
