Surendra Hiranandani was born in 1954 in Mumbai, India. He is the younger brother of billionaire Mumbai developer Niranjan Hiranandani and runs his own company, the House of Hiranandani, which specializes in luxury residences. His daughter Neha, a University of Virginia graduate, assists him in running the company from London. He still owns 50% of the projects he built with his brother Niranjan. In one of India's biggest commercial real estate deals, the brothers sold their office and retail assets in Powai to Canada's Brookfield Asset Management for $1 billion.
