Cecil Frank Powell, better known as Cool Cees, was a multi-talented entertainer. He was a comedian, saxophonist, composer, actor and musician. He was a part of the orchestras of Charlie Spivak, Shep Fields and Claude Thornhill as a saxophonist. He also appeared on television skits as a super-hip jazz musician, playing the tenor saxophone and singing with the satirical trio The Hair Cuts, alongside Carl Reiner and Howard Morris.
