Perhaps best known for his recurring role as Joe Scully in the Australian soap opera Neighbours, Connor also appeared in Fire, Heartland, Prisoner, and several other television series.
Before beginning his acting career, he attended the Victorian College of the Arts.
Over the course of his career, he received many theatrical, film, and television honors, including a Green Room Award, a Penguin Award, and an AFI Award.
He was born and raised in Woodville, South Australia. Following the death of his brother, he suffered a personal crisis that resulted in drug abuse and problems on the set of Neighbours.
He and Elaine Smith were both in the cast of Neighbours.
