Environmental Activist who was named to the Global 500 Roll of Honor of the U.N. Environmental Programme in 1993. She was featured in the documentary Severn, the Voice of Our Children, in 2010.
She attended the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro when she was just twelve years old and delivered a riveting speech on environmental activism.
She studied evolutionary biology and ecology at Yale University and later launched The Skyfish Project, an internet environmental think-tank.
She grew up in Vancouver as the daughter of a Writer mother and an Activist father, and she later settled in Haida Gwaii, British Columbia with her children and husband.
Her Japanese Canadian father, David Suzuki, was also a well-known environmental Activist.
