Sergei Petrov is a Russian businessman and former Soviet Army officer who is the founder and owner of Rolf Group of Companies, the largest seller of foreign cars in Russia. In 2013, the company sold 80,200 new cars and Mitsubishi Corporation and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation increased their combined stake in Rolf Import (LLC) to 58%. Petrov began his civilian career as a mechanic in 1982 and became a director of a car leasing joint venture in the 1990s. In 2007, he was elected to the lower house of parliament. Petrov was the only Russian billionaire to sign a resolution calling for a peaceful end to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which was published on Richard Branson's Virgin Group site.
