Korean Songwriter and Producer who founded Marcan Entertainment. He's best known for his work with the K-pop group SM Entertainment, which is home to artists such as BoA and Girls' Generation.
He originally tried to audition for the K-pop boy band Shinhwa but his parents strongly disapproved of a career in music.
He began submitting his music to labels in both America and Korea in 2009 and faced several rejections letters until SM showed interest.
