Croak is the head of BCP Imports which contains the Silly Bandz brand. Silly Bandz are rubber bands made out of silicone rubber that are formed into shapes. They are typically worn as bracelets. Croak discovered the bands on a business trip in Japan and he wanted to re-brand them into a toy and kids fashion accessory.
They were first sold online in 2008 and then were sold in a retail store in 2009. Silly Bandz won the Best Design award in the Japanese National Competition in 2003. Croak spent time in the automotive business as a salesman and became a finance manager. He purchased his grandfather's bar and opened other bars and restaurants. He also ran a concert promotion company. While running a race he was given a Livestrong bracelet which got him thinking and eventually led to Silly Bandz.
