He went on to complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts at USC's School of Theatre and taught acting classes at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum. He had difficulty getting started in his chosen field, but eventually got a role on the daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives and a SAG card. He went on to play doctors in various TV shows, most notably Dr. Marcus Hunter in Days of Our Lives and Dr. Stephen Franklin in Babylon 5. He also had roles in Any Day Now, The Guiding Light, and Tremors. He passed away in 2004 at the age of 44.
