MLB announcer who took over as the color commentator for the Kansas City Royals in 2012. He'd previously served in the same position for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim from 1999 to 2009.
A talented athlete, he was selected by the New York Yankees in the first round of the 1978 MLB draft. He played as a utility infielder and outfielder for six major league teams from 1984 to 1998.
