Glass Artist and designer best known for his elegant figurines, perfume bottles, jewelry, and chandeliers.
He started out as an apprentice to a Paris goldsmith following his father's sudden death.
His jewelry pieces were in high demand at the trendy Paris boutique Maison de l'Art Nouveau.
He grew up in the suburbs of Paris after his family moved there when he was two. He spent his summers in Ay. His granddaughter Marie Claude-Lalique also became a glass maker.
He and Louis Comfort Tiffany were both Art Nouveau glass artists.
