Freestyle Wrestler who brought home Olympic gold to Turkey after winning the 66kg weight class at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. He is also a gold medalist at the World Championship and European Championships.
He was born in Hasav-Yurt, Dagestan and emigrated to Turkey in 2005.
He was born with the last name Irbaikhanov but changed it to Sahin in honor of Mehmet Ali Sahin, who helped him become a naturalized citizen of Turkey.
