Born Josephine Sophia Ivalo Mathilda and given the title of Princess Josephine of Denmark, Countess of Monpezat, this member of Danish royalty was the fourth child born to Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark.
She and her brother were christened in Copenhagen on April 14, 2011.
She became known in Greenland as Princess Ivalo.
She was born almost thirty minutes after her fraternal twin, Vincent Frederik Minik Alexander. In addition to her twin brother, she has two older siblings: Prince Christian (born in 2005) and Princess Isabella (born in 2007).
She and her first cousin, Prince Nikolai (born in 1999), belong to the same generation of Danish royalty.
