The third child and second son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He is also known for his success with the Royal Navy, particularly during the Falklands War where he saw active Service.
After graduating from Lakefield College School in Ontario, he chose to attend Britannia Royal Naval College at Dartmouth instead of pursuing university.
He served as the United Kingdom's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment from 2001 to 2011.
He had a much-publicized marriage with Sarah Ferguson that spanned from 1986 to 1996. He and Ferguson had two daughters: Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
