He belonged to the Misal group, a prominent Bulgarian literary and cultural establishment.
His name was given to a mountain peak in Antarctica.
His first love, Mina Todorova, died of tuberculosis. After his wife Lora Karavelova committed suicide, Yavorov sadly followed suit.
Yavorov and Blaga Dimitrova were both Bulgarian poets.
