Peter Marx was a talented actor who had a long and successful career in theatre and television. He grew up in Morristown, New Jersey and received a bachelors degree from The University of Michigan School of Music as a piano performance major. He then attended The Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre in New York City and soon after got a lead role in the Broadway show "On Your Toes". He went on to star in "No Way to Treat a Lady" off-Broadway, "Animal Crackers" at the Huntington in Boston, "Italian-American Reconciliation" at The Cleveland Playhouse, "Stardust" at the Wilshire Theatre, and the first ever Broadway revival of "The Cocoanuts" in New York City. He also had a successful television career, appearing in "Murphy Brown" and "Annie Get Your Gun" with Bernadette Peters and Tom Wopat. After becoming a single dad, Peter left the biz to be home nights and weekends with his two teenage daughters, but he may consider returning to showbiz when his younger daughter goes off to college.
