Renowned twentieth-century American Choreographer and founder of the acclaimed Paul Taylor Dance Company. His more than fifty-year career resulted in great innovation in modern dance; he was particularly known for his classical music settings of contemporary choreography.
After briefly studying visual art at Syracuse University, he transferred to the dance program at the famed Juilliard School.
A groundbreaking Choreographer, he was once dubbed the "Naughty Boy of Dance."
He was raised in Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C.
