Paul Morrissey Net Worth

Paul Morrissey was born in New York City in 1938 and studied literature at Fordham University. In the early 1960s, he began directing short independent films and was introduced to Andy Warhol in 1965. Morrissey took charge of all operations at the Warhol studio and discovered the Velvet Underground, adding Nico to the band and signing them to a management contract. He wrote, produced and directed Lonesome Cowboys (1968) and assumed total control of all subsequent films presented by Warhol. After parting ways with Warhol in 1975, Morrissey pursued financing for his later films, remaining independent of any Hollywood film companies.
