Russian professional ice hockey player who is known for his work as a left wing on the Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the Kontinental Hockey League. He is also known for having played in several Winter Olympic games as well.
He first started earning recognition for his playing in 2004 when he won the gold medal at the IIHF World Under 18 Championships. After several awards in 2006, he was selected as the Russian Super League MVP in 2007.
He is known for having won multiple gold medals representing Russia at the ice hockey World Championships including in 2014 in Belarus and in 2012 in Finland.
He married Natasha Kulemin and together they have two children, a son and a daughter.
During his first season with the NHL in 2008, he played alongside teammates Mikhail Grabovski.
