Activist, politician, and lawyer who works as plaintiff in cases against genocide and in defense of workers. She is the national leader of the Socialist Workers Party, and in 2015 and 2016, served as National Deputy in the Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation, one of the two chambers that make up the country's congress.
She received a degree in law from the University of Buenos Aires, and joined the Socialist Workers Party while still a student.
She is one of the founders and members of the Center For Human Rights Professionals, and the Justice Collective Now! She was one of Jorge Julio López's lawyers, a witness who disappeared in 2006 after giving testimony against Miguel Osvaldo Etchecolatz, a former policeman convicted of genocide.
Her father was a rural teacher in Timote. She has one younger brother.
