Professional third baseman that was originally taken by the Tokyo Yakult Swallows as a first round pick in the 2017 Nippon Professional Baseball Draft. Since then, he has won multiple Central League MVP awards and a Japanese Nippon Championship Series winner. While playing with Team Japan, he won a championship during the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
He first began playing baseball at the young age of five. As a high school student, he earned the nickname the 'Babe Ruth of Higo.'
