Speedskater who won two medals at his first Olympics, in 2014: gold in the 500 meter, and bronze in the 1000 meter event.
He first joined the international scene when he won silver in the 500 meter race at the 2012 World Single Distance Championships.
He won back-to-back World Championships in the sprint race in 2013 and 2014.
He has a twin brother, Ronald, who joined him on the 500 meter podium at the 2014 Olympics.
