Collegiate athlete and NFL prospect that was named a finalist for the 2022 Heisman Trophy. That same season, he was given the Davey O'Brien Award, Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, and the 2022 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year awards. He played college football at Texas Christian University from 2019 until 2022. He began playing for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2023.
Prior to a college career, he attended Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa. While in high school, he was a four-sport athlete.
As a freshman at TCU, he broke a program record with 2,077 yards passing. He also threw 15 touchdown passes which is a freshman program record.
Growing up, he lived with his family in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
