Insurance industry executive who was killed in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. His 9-1-1 call from inside the South Tower made him one of the attack's most widely-known victims.
He was born in Long Island and was serving as the Vice President of Claims for Aon Corporation at the time of his death.
The recording of his 9-1-1 call was played during the trial of Zacarias Moussaoui, one of the co-conspirators behind the attack on the World Trade Center.
He was survived by his wife, schoolteacher Wendy Cosgrove, and three children.
He and Emmy-winning television Producer David Angell both perished in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
