John Randolph Net Worth

John Randolph was a Tony Award-winning character actor whose career spanned over four decades. Born Emanuel Cohen in New York City, he changed his name to John Randolph and served in the Army Air Force during WWII. His passionate leftist views and defense of other accused figures led to him and his wife being blacklisted during the McCarthy era. Despite this, he continued to find work onstage, mainly in New York, and eventually broke the Hollywood blacklist with his role in Seconds (1966). He went on to have important roles in films and TV, including Serpico (1973), Frances (1982), Prizzi's Honor (1985), You've Got Mail (1998), and the TV movie The Missiles of October (1974). He also headed the Council of American-Soviet Friendship, a cultural exchange organization. Randolph died of natural causes at age 88.
