John K Delaney net worth: John K Delaney is an American politician and businessman who has a net worth of $180 million. He was elected as a United States Congressman for Maryland's 6th Congressional District in 2013, and is a member of the Democratic Party. As a freshman congressman in the 113th United States Congress, he is one of the wealthiest members of Congress and is the only former CEO of a publicly traded company. Delaney grew up in New Jersey and attended college with the help of scholarships that were awarded by several Unions as well as the American Legion, VFW, and the Lion's Club. He earned an undergraduate degree from Columbia University and then went on the graduate from Georgetown Law School. Delaney founded two New York Stock Exchange-listed companies before the age of 40. In 1993, he co-founded Health Care Financial Partners, which makes loans available to smaller heath care service providers, and in 2000 he co-founded Capital Source, a commercial lending company. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for several organizations, including: St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School, Georgetown University, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the International Center for Research on Women. John and his wife, April, have four daughters and live in Montgomery County. April is the Director for Common Sense Media in Washington, DC.
