Canadian businessman who became known to television audiences as one of the "dragons" on the reality series Dragons' Den. He built his personal fortune through his partnership with George Melville, with whom he co-owns several businesses, including Boston Pizza, Mr. Lube and White Rock Commercial.
He was a constable in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in the 1960's. He broke into the world of entrepreneurship by purchasing the rights to open a Boston Pizza restaurant in Penticton, British Columbia.
