She was soon contacted by a professional agent and her parents encouraged her to pursue professional education at Televisa's acting school. She quickly gained success, appearing in over 200 commercials, telenovelas and films. In 1995 she landed her first major role in the telenovela "Si Dios me Quita la Vida" and in 2001 her first international project, "In the Time of the Butterflies". The success of the teen telenovela "Atrevete a Soñar" led her to tour in Mexico and abroad. In 2015, she and her husband Lucas Velazquez moved to Los Angeles to further their careers. She returned briefly to Mexico to film "Requiem por Leona Vicario" and has since studied to perfect her knowledge of the language, culture and acting market.
