Hubert Ingraham is a Bahamian politician who served as Prime Minister of the Bahamas from August 1992 to May 2002, and then again from May 2007 to May 2012. He was born on August 4, 1947 in the Bahamas. During his two terms as Prime Minister, Ingraham implemented a number of economic and social reforms, including the introduction of a value-added tax and the privatization of several state-owned companies. He also oversaw the expansion of the country's tourism industry and the development of a new international airport.
