Civil rights leader, ordained minister, businessman, philanthropist, scientist, and politician who was famously a part of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s inner circle during the 1960's Civil Rights Movement.
When his mother was a pregnant teenager, she ran away from the institute for the blind she was committed to. Hosea met his biological father in Florida when he was 28 years old.
He continued King's work and founded Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless, which is one of the largest social services organizations.
He had four sons and four daughters with his wife Juanity Terry. Their names were: Hosea L. Williams II, Andre Williams, Torrey Williams, Hyron Williams, Barbara Emerson, Elizabeth Omilami, Yolanda Favors, and Jaunita Collier.
He was part of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's inner-circle, and was referred to as his "bull in a china closet" and "Castro."
