She spent nine months in the infamous Auschwitz concentration camp, where she underwent eugenics experiments that included injections of lethal bacterial strains.
She and her sister were one of many pairs of twins who were subjected to lethal experiments by Dr. Mengele and his staff.
She and fellow Auschwitz-Birkenau survivors were liberated as a result of Witold Pilecki's reports on the concentration camp.
