Former NHL left winger who became the all-time leader in penalty minutes for the Vancouver Canucks. After his NHL career, he joined Riviere-du-Loup 3L in Quebec's LNAH in 2010.
He suffered from abuse at the hands of his father, mother, and stepfather, and was eventually given up for foster care.
He was involved in one of the worst acts of ice hockey violence ever when he was slashed in the head by Marty McSorley during a game.
He fathered two sons, Jordan and Jackson, with his then-common-law wife, Gabrielle Desgagne.
He played alongside All-Star Markus Naslund on the Canucks from 1996 to 2002.
