Born Dezmon Jerrod Briscoe on August 31, 1989 in Dallas, Texas, he was part of the high school football team and he continued to hone his football skills at the University of Kansas where he majored in physical education. It was in 2010 that he got drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the sixth round of the NFL Draft that year. Apart from the Bengals he also played shortly for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before signing with his current team, the Washington Redskins, in 2012.
