NFL cornerback selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the first-round pick of the 2023 NFL Draft. Prior to being drafted, he played college football at the University of Illinois. As a senior in 2022, he was an All-American, a member of the first team All-Big Ten, and a recipient of the Jack Tatum-Charles Woodson Defensive Back of the Year award.
He was a three-sport athlete whilst at Pine Forest High School. He was originally a basketball player that later converted to playing football.
While at Illinois, he became the first defensive back in program history to be named a finalist for the NCAA Jim Thorpe Award. He's also the highest player drafted in Illinois program history.
