Award-winning composer, singer and teacher of a cappella music who is often referred to as "the father of contemporary a cappella." He served as music director and arranger on the film Pitch Perfect and arranged for The Social Network as well. His musical involvement increased for Pitch Perfect 2.
He was five years old when began singing in choirs such as the San Francisco Boys Chorus. At San Francisco University High School, he directed and sang in a barbershop and doo-wop quartet.
